Barcelona added former Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny to its squad to help make up for the absence of the injured Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Szczesny had retired in August after leaving Juventus, but he said it would be "stupid" not to accept the Barcelona offer.

Atletico Madrid have signed England midfielder Conor Gallagher from Chelsea on a five-year deal. Gallagher, who had been at Chelsea since the age of eight, has signed contract until 2029 with Atletico who have paid €42 million for the 24-year-old, according to media reports.

Striker Bojan Miovski has left Aberdeen for a club-record fee of £6.8m and joined Girona. The North Macedonia international, 25, moved to Pittodrie in 2022 and went on to score 44 goals in 97 appearances.

Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of forward Julian Alvarez, 24, from Manchester City on a six-year contract. The deal is understood to be worth over £81million in total, with an initial fee of 75m euros and 20m in add-ons amounting to a record sale for City.

Barcelona have completed the signing of RB Leipzig's versatile forward Dani Olmo. The deal is worth an initial €55 million, with an additional €7m due in potential add-ons. The Spain international has signed a six-year contract, with a release clause set at €500m.

Scotland defender Scott McKenna has signed a three-year contract with Las Palmas. The 27-year-old became a free agent at the end of last season following the expiry of his deal at Nottingham Forest.

Sevilla have completed the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Lucien Agoume. The 22 year-old spent the second-half of last season on-loan with Sevilla. He has penned a contract to 2028 with the LaLiga club. Sevilla will pay a €4m fee plus grant Inter a 40 per cent sell-on clause.

Nicolas Pepe has joined Villarreal on a free transfer from Trabzonspor. The 29-year-old Ivory Coast attacker has penned a two-year contract with the Yellow Submarine. He arrives as a replacement for Bertrand Traore after his departure for Ajax at the end of last season.

Atletico Madrid have signed striker Alexander Sorloth from fellow Laliga side Villarreal on a four-year contract. The 28-year-old Norway international scored 26 goals for Villarreal in all competitions last season, with 23 coming in Laliga.

Girona have announced the capture of Bryan Gil from Tottenham on a season-long loan deal as the 23-year-old moves back to Spain for the third time in three years. Gil is contracted to Spurs until 2025 and appears set to leave as a free agent next year after struggling in England's top-flight.

Real Sociedad defender Robin Le Normand is set to join Atletico Madrid. The 27-year-old played a crucial role in Spain's European Championship victory earlier this month. During his time at Sociedad, Le Normand featured in 221 games and contributed to their 2020 Copa del Rey triumph.

Barcelona have confirmed they have struck a deal with Girona for striker Pau Victor to stay at the club for the next five years. Victor was Barca Atletic's top scorer last season. Barcelona failed to take up a purchase option in his contract but have now confirmed he will continue at the club until 2029.
