The French superstar has been purused by the Spanish outfit for years and rumours he could join only intensified after informing PSG last week he would be leaving in the summer. And now Marca have reported that Mbappe already put pen to paper on his deal to join Madrid two weeks ago.

Rakitic joins Al Shabab from Sevilla

31.1.24 Sevilla

Ivan Rakitic has left Sevilla following a second spell at the club ahead of his move to Saudi Arabia's Al Shabab, the LaLiga side said on Tuesday. Rakitic set for Sevilla exit

28.1.24 Sevilla

Seville midfielder Ivan Rakitic has informed his team that he wishes to make a switch to the Saudi Pro League. The 35-year-old has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Al Shabab. Rakitic is out of contract at Sevilla at the end of the current campaign and the club are willing to negotiate his early exit.

Atletico sign Vermeeren

27.1.24 Atletico M.

Atletico Madrid have signed Belgium midfielder Arthur Vermeeren from Antwerp. The 18-year-old agreed to a contract for six and a half seasons. Vermeeren came up through Antwerp's youth sides before debuting for its senior team in October 2022. He has two appearances for Belgium.

Javier Manquillo joins Celta Vigo

Newcastle United have announced Javier Manquillo will join Celta Vigo with immediate effect. A return to La Liga will see the 29-year-old defender reunite with former boss Rafa Benitez - who signed him for Newcastle in 2017.

Hannibal Mejbri joins Sevilla on loan

16.1.24 Sevilla

Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has joined Sevilla on loan until the end of the season. As part of the deal, Sevilla have an option to buy the 20-year-old for £20million plus a further £3m in add-ons.

Real Madrid decide against bringing in new defender

3.1.24 Real Mad.

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Real Madrid do not intend to sign a centre-back during the January transfer window. Eder Militao suffered an ACL injury in the first week of the season, while David Alaba is set to miss the remainder of the season after suffering the same injury in December.

"We're lacking important players, but we have another two who we believe in, Nacho [Fernandez] and Antonio [Rudiger], and two others who can play there, [Aurelien] Tchouameni and [Dani] Carvajal," Ancelotti said. "So right now, we aren't considering a signing."

Villarreal re-sign Eric Bailly

31.12.23 Villarreal

Villarreal have re-signed former Manchester United defender Eric Bailly on an 18-month contract following his release by Besiktas. The Ivory Coast centre-back, 29, left the Turkish club on Friday, just three months after moving from Old Trafford. Bailly played for Villarreal during the 2015-16 season.

Varane could return to Real Madrid

21.12.23 Real Mad.

Manchester United defender Raphael Varane is reportedly being lined up for a shock return to Real Madrid. The 30-year-old has found himself down the pecking order at Old Trafford this season, leading to speculation over his future. Carlo Ancelotti's men are extremely short at the back and bringing Varane back to the Santiago Bernabeu would solve many issues.
