Debuchy joins St Etienne

Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy has joined St Etienne until the end of the season. The 32-year-old had left the Gunners earlier in the day and returns to the club where he started his career, making his debut as an 18-year-old in 2004. Debuchy joins fellow transfer window signings Yann M'Vila, Paul-Georges Ntep and Neven Subotic at the Ligue 1 club.

Sakho joins Rennes from West Ham

Rennes have completed the signing of striker Diafra Sakho from West Ham in a deal worth €10m. The 28-year-old joins the French Ligue 1 club after three-and-a-half seasons at West Ham, during which time he scored 24 goals in 71 first-team appearances. Sakho moved to East London from Metz in the summer of 2014. Having bagged mere 28 goals in 23 Ligue 1 fixtures so far, Rennes will be hoping Sakho can make an instant impact.

Monaco sign 16-year-old Pellegri

Pietro Pellegri, the first player born in 2001 to score a goal in Serie A, has joined AS Monaco from Genoa at the age of 16. Pellegri become the joint-youngest player to play in Serie A when he made his debut in December 2016 at the age of 15 years and 280 days and in May made history with his first goal against AS Roma. In September, he became the youngest player to score twice in a Serie A match when he was on target in the 3-2 home defeat by Lazio.

Lyon seal deal for Terrier

Olympique Lyonnais have completed the signing of France Under-21 star Martin Terrier from LOSC, although he will finish the season on loan at Strasbourg Alsace. Lyon confirmed that they had paid Lille an initial fee of 11 million euros for Terrier, with the fee rising to a maximum of 15m including bonuses. The 20-year-old forward has agreed a four-and-a-half-year deal which runs through to June 2022.

Terrier had already been on loan at Strasbourg from Lille since the beginning of this campaign and the Alsace said were determined to keep him at the Stade de la Meinau to see out the season. As a result he will not be seen in a Lyon shirt until 2018-19.

Lassana Diarra joins PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Lassana Diarra on a free transfer after the France international terminated his contract with Al Jazira Club by mutual consent. PSG coach Unai Emery was keen to add some depth in defensive midfield with Thiago Motta struggling for fitness. Diarra, 32, has signed an 18-month deal with PSG. The former Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid man has played 34 times for Les Bleus at international level but is yet to score for his country.

M'Vila joins Saint-Etienne

Saint-Etienne have completed the signing of French international midfielder Yann M'Vila. The 27-year-old returns to France after five years away, joining Les Verts from the Russian club Rubin Kazan, who had released him from his contract. He has put pen to paper on a deal until the end of next season at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard. M'Vila, who has also had loan spells at Internazionale and Sunderland, has won 22 caps for France, although the last of those came against Spain at Euro 2012.

Forward Nicolas De Preville has joined Bordeaux from Lille on a four-year deal. No financial details were given. The 26-year-old Frenchman is a versatile forward who can play on either flank or through the middle. He scored 14 league goals in 30 games last season and has two in four so far.

Mbappe completes loan move to PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have announced the loan signing of teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe. The 18-year-old scored 26 goals in 44 matches during a breakthrough campaign at Monaco last season. Real Madrid, Manchester United and Arsenal were all understood to have expressed a strong interest in the France striker but he will be lining up alongside Neymar at the Parc des Princes for the 2017/18 season. Mbappe joins PSG on loan, with an agreement in place make the deal permanent next summer in an expected €175million switch.

Tunisian international Wahbi Khazri has completed his season-long loan move to Rennes. The 26-year-old winger had made it clear he wanted to leave Sunderland following relegation from the Premier League and his wish has been granted on deadline day. There is no option to make the deal permanent next summer.

The 24-year-old has struggled to adjust to life at the bet365 Stadium following his high-profile switch from Porto two years ago, making just 28 appearances in all competitions.

Wollscheid joins Metz

German defender Philipp Wollscheid has signed for Metz. The 28-year-old centre-back has joined on a three-year deal from Stoke City after they confirmed his contract had been terminated by mutual consent. Wollscheid made his name with Nurnberg before moving to Bayer Leverkusen. He moved to Stoke in 2015 but spent last season on loan back in Germany with Wolfsburg and now he arrives at the Stade Saint-Symphorien to help plug the gap left by Simon Falette when he departed to join Eintracht Frankfurt.

Tunisian international defender Aymen Abdennour has joined Marseille on loan from Valencia. Former Monaco stopper Abdennour, 28, returns to Ligue 1 after initially being linked with Zenit St Petersburg. He passed a medical on Tuesday and will be unveiled as Marseille's sixth summer signing on Wednesday.
