Villarreal 31.1 : Villarreal have secured the services of Uruguayan midfielder Sebastian Eguren on loan from Swedish side Hammarby until the end of the season. The 27-year-old scored 13 goals in 36 appearances in Sweden, having joined from Rosenborg in 2006, initially on loan.

Valencia 31.1 : Valladolid have signed Argentinian midfielder Marcos Sebastian Aguirre and Bulgarian international striker Vladimir Manchev. Aguirre, 23, arrives on loan from Lanus until the end of the season, a replacement for Fabian Estoyanoff who has joined Penarol. Meanwhile Manchev, 30, comes from Celta Vigo in a similar deal, returning to the club he spent the second half of last season with.

Racing 31.1 : Racing Santander have taken Uruguayan midfielder Sergio Orteman on loan from Boca Juniors until the end of the season. Orteman had been playing at Turkish side Buyuksehir Belediyespor this campaign. Racing have also signed Peru forward Damian Ismodes from Sporting Cristal.

Zaragoza 29.1 : Zaragoza forward Ewerthon has ended his loan spell at Stuttgart to join Espanyol for the remainder of the season as cover for the injured Raul Tamudo. The 26-year-old joined Zaragoza in 2005 after four seasons at Borussia Dortmund and scored 18 goals in 65 Primera Division games before being loaned to Stuttgart in the summer. He scored just once in eleven league appearances on his return to the Bundesliga.

Villarreal 25.1 : Villarreal have secured the signature of Marco Ruben from River Plate. The transfer fee was reported to be €4.8m. The Argentinian forward has agreed a contract that will keep him at the Spanish club until 2013. However, he will finish the Primera Division campaign on loan at Recreativo Huelva before joining Villarreal next season. Ruben has scored seven goals in 28 games at River Plate.

Valencia 19.1 : Valencia have signed Netherlands midfielder Hedwiges Maduro in a deal which reunites the player with his former coach at Ajax, Ronald Koeman. He has joined on a four-and-a-half year contract for an undisclosed fee. Maduro made 107 appearances for Ajax and he was capped 12 times by the Netherlands.

Barcelona 18.1 : Barcelona have secured the services of goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto on loan from second division Celta Vigo until the end of the season. The 32-year-old has been signed to provide cover for first choice Victor Valdes after reserve keeper Albert Jorquera sustained a serious knee injury. Barcelona said the deal, which will cost the club €500,000, includes an option to buy Pinto in the summer.

Valencia 7.1 : Valencia have agreed to sign teenage midfielder Ever Banega from Boca Juniors for a reported fee of €18m. The 19-year-old Argentinian penned a five-and-a-half year contract with the Spanish club after passing medical tests. Banega has been earmarked to replace Jaime Gavilan after he was loaned to Getafe for the rest of the season. Midfielder Manuel Fernandes is also expected to depart Valencia after spending Friday morning in police custody following a nightclub incident.

Real M. 7.12 : Real Madrid have categorically moved out a move for Ronaldinho. "We have many really good players and we don't have room," said sporting director Pedja Mijatovic. Ronaldinho's future at Barcelona came under question following reports in Spain that the Brazilian star is upset with a lack of playing time. So far, Ronaldinho has been linked with a move to Chelsea or Milan in the January transfer window.

Goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek, meanwhile, wants to leave Real for a starting job at another club to improve his chances of playing for Poland at next summer's European Championship. The 34-year-old arrived on a three-year free transfer deal from Liverpool in the summer, but he hasn't played a single minute this season while serving as a reserve behind Iker Casillas.

Villarreal 27.11 : Villarreal have signed a pre-contract agreement to allow Argentinean international midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme to rejoin Boca Juniors when the transfer window opens. This deal should end the 29-year-old's five-year spell in Spanish football. Riquelme spent the final six months of last season on loan at Boca Juniors having fallen out with coach Manuel Pellegrini.

Recreat. 1.9 : Recreativo Huelva have strengthened their attacking options by signing experienced duo Javi Guerrero and Ersen Martin on two-year contracts. Javi Guerrero, 30, returns to the Primera Division after a successful spell at the Nuevo Colombino last term, scoring seven goals while on loan from Celta Vigo. Turkey international Ersen joins Recreativo from Trabzonspor for a fee of €750,000. The 28-year-old scored eleven league goals last season.

Atletico M 1.9 : Atletico Madrid have signed Brazilian international midfielder Thiago Motta from Barcelona on a one-year contract. The 25-year-old becomes the club's ninth summer signing.

Getafe 1.9 : Getafe have added two midfielders to their squad, both from Real Madrid. Ruben De La Red, 22, has signed a two-year contract after two frustrating seasons at the Spanish giants in which he made just ten substitute Primera Division appearances. Getafe have also taken Esteban Granero on loan from Real, where he signed a new four-year deal earlier this summer.

Villarreal 1.9 : Former Spain international forward Jose Mari Romero has returned to his hometown club Betis eleven years after first leaving. The 28-year-old arrives from Villarreal, for whom he scored eight goals in 113 league appearances though he has saw his first-team chances reduced by the summer arrival of Giuseppe Rossi, Jon Dahl Tomasson and Santi Cazorla.
