Atletico agree terms with Chelsea to re-sign Costa

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sell Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid for a fee of more than €60 million. The striker will now travel from Brazil to Madrid for his medical ahead of the long-running transfer finally being confirmed. Costa will sign a deal to 2021 although he cannot play for Atletico until January 2018, when he will be allowed to register for the club, because of the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the Spanish club, but he will be free to train with them to regain his fitness.

Geis leaves Schalke to join Sevilla until end of season

Johannes Geis has left Schalke to join Sevilla on loan until the end of the 2017/18 season. The 24-year-old midfielder moved to Gelsenkirchen from Mainz in 2015, making 28 Bundesliga appearances in an impressive debut season before playing 18 top-flight matches last term.

Pantilimon joins Deportivo on loan

Watford have sent goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon to LaLiga side Deportivo La Coruna on a season-long loan. Marco Silva's side loaned in Udinese's Orestis Karnezis for the 2017-18 campaign on Thursday and have now allowed former Sunderland and Manchester City keeper Pantilimon to depart. The Romania international has made just two Premier League appearances for Watford, having joined the club in January 2016, often serving as a back-up for Heurelho Gomes.

Amrabat joins Leganes on one-year loan

Watford striker Nordin Amrabat has joined Deportivo Leganes on a a season-long loan. The Morocco international returns to La Liga where he had two stints at Malaga scoring a total of eight goals in 59 games for the Spanish outfit. Tied to The Hornets until June 2019, the 30-year-old Amrabat arrived at Vicarage Road in January 2016 from Malaga and made 44 league appearances for Watford since, 32 as a starter.

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has joined Valencia on a season-long loan. The Spanish side, who paid around €3m to secure his services, announced the signing of the 21-year-old on their official website. Pereira also spent last season in La Liga, playing for relegated Granada.

Loic Remy signs for Las Palmas

Loic Remy has left Chelsea after signing a two-year deal with Las Palmas. The French striker completed a move on Friday night, hours before the Spanish transfer deadline passed. The former QPR striker has started only nine Premier League games since signing for Chelsea in August 2014 and went on loan to Crystal Palace last season.

Valencia sign Goncalo Guedes on loan

Valencia have signed Portugal winger Goncalo Guedes on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain. The two sides reached an agreement last week, but Valencia had to wait until PSG signed Monaco star Kylian Mbappe before the deal could be completed. Guedes, 20, played just once for PSG in Ligue 1 following his €30m move from Benfica in January 2017.

Swansea City winger Jefferson Montero has completed a loan move to Getafe, subject to international clearance. The 28-year-old Ecuador international made just 14 appearances during the 2016-17 campaign as a combination of thigh, hand and hamstring injuries combined to leave him on the sidelines for significant spells. Montero has completed his move despite the fact that English football's transfer deadline has passed because the window in Spain does not close until tonight.

Alvaro Medran has joined Alaves on loan from league rivals Valencia for the 2017/18 season. The 23-year-old central midfielder joined Alaves in search of more playing time after making 16 La Liga appearances last term. Medran, a youth product of Real Madrid, joins Bojan Krkic at Alaves, who signed on a season-long loan from Stoke City on Thursday.

Campbell rejoins Real Betis

Joel Campbell, 25, has left Arsenal and rejoined Real Betis on a season-long loan spell. The Costa Rica forward previously spent a period on loan with the La Liga outfit in the 2012/13 campaign. Campbell has yet to make an appearance for Arsenal this term after suffering an injury while on international duty. This will be Campbell's sixth loan deal, having previously spent spells at the likes of Lorient, Olympiacos, Villarreal and Sporting Lisbon.

Stoke City's playmaker Bojan Krkic has joined Alaves on a season-long loan deal. Bojan has been at Stoke since 2014, when he signed from Barcelona, and has made just 53 appearances and scored 14 goals in that time. Last season he had a loan spell at Mainz 05 and is now set for a return to Spanish football.

Perez rejoins Deportivo La Coruna

Lucas Perez has rejoined his former club Deportivo La Coruna on loan from Arsenal. Perez cost Arsenal more than £17 million after they signed him from Deportivo last year. Yet Wenger only started the former PAOK and Dinamo Kiev loanee in four matches after Christmas and failed to pick him in the starting XI after the FA Cup fifth round in February.
