Valencia sign Murillo from Inter

Valencia have signed defender Jeison Murillo from Inter Milan. The Colombia international spent two seasons with Inter after impressing at the Copa America in 2015, but couldn't find space in new coach Luciano Spalletti's setup. Murillo played a total of 102 games for Inter, scoring five times. He has scored once in 25 international appearances for his country.

Valencia earlier on Friday completed the signing of Arsenal centre-back Gabriel. Both players will be presented by the club on Saturday.

Bacca joins Villarreal on loan

Colombia striker Carlos Bacca joined Spanish club Villarreal on a one-season loan from Milan. The 30-year-old returns to a Spanish league where had a highly successful two-year spell with Sevilla, winning two Europa League titles and scoring 49 goals in 108 games before joining Milan for €30m. Bacca scored 14 goals for the Seria A club last season.

Former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho has joined Barcelona for a fee of €40million. The 29-year-old Brazilian, who has been with Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande since 2015, has been a target for the Nou Camp club for much of the summer and has now completed his move. It marks a return to European football for a player who spent two seasons at White Hart Lane, without hitting the heights expected of him following a £17 million switch from Corinthians.

Betis have signed Algeria midfielder Ryad Boudebouz from French club Montpellier on a four year deal. The Spanish club have paid a reported €7m, plus potential bonuses, for the 27-year-old, who scored 11 goals and added nine assists in Ligue 1 last season. Boudebouz has 24 caps for Algeria but missed the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations through injury.

Hours after La Liga officials rejected a €222m payment from representatives of Brazilian winger Neymar, Barcelona announced that the club had accepted the payment and terminated the 25-year old's contract. As a result, Neymar is now free to join Paris Saint-Germain, with reports indicating he will sign a five-year deal with the French side. Barring any further developments, Neymar's move to PSG will shatter the world record for most expensive transfer, the €222m dwarfing the €105m Manchester United paid for midfielder Paul Pogba last summer.

La Liga refuse Neymar release clause

Spain's La Liga refused to accept the payment of Neymar's €222m buyout clause, a league spokesperson confirmed on Thursday, potentially delaying the Brazilian's world record move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain. La Liga president Javier Tebas earlier accused PSG of "financial doping" and suggested that the governing body would not accept payment for Neymar. However, reports in Spain have stated that La Liga have no legal grounds to reject the PSG's payment and a request to FIFA to intervene in the matter couldn't be ruled out.

Sevilla sign defender Kjaer

Sevilla have confirmed the signing of Denmark international Simon Kjaer from Fenerbahce for €12.5m. The 28-year-old centre-back has signed a four-year deal and is likely to be the replacement for Adil Rami after the France defender was sold to Marseille last month. Kjaer joined Fenerbahce from Lille in June 2015 and made 55 league appearances over his two seasons in Istanbul.

Barcelona confirm Neymar wants to leave

Barcelona on Wednesday confirmed Neymar wishes to leave the club as a world-record €222m move to Paris Saint-Germain nears completion. The Brazilian returned to Catalan outfit's base in Sant Joan Despi on Wednesday morning and was given permission to miss training amid ongoing uncertainty over his future.

"The player Neymar Jr, accompanied by his father and agent, has informed FC Barcelona this morning of his decision to leave the Club in a meeting held at the Club's offices," the official statement read. "Faced with this position, the Club has informed them they refer to the buy-out clause of his existing contract which as of 1 July totals 222 million euros which will have to be deposited in its entirety."

"Furthermore, in reply to the claim for the contract extension bonus, the Club has once again made it clear that the amount remains deposited with a notary until the case is resolved."

Sevilla re-sign Jesus Navas

Sevilla have re-signed midfielder and free agent Jesus Navas on a four-year contract. The 31-year-old left the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in 2013 to join Manchester City. Navas picked up a Premier League title and two League Cups during his time in England but failed to impress on a personal level and was not offered an extension when his contract expired at the end of June. Sevilla, who lost both Yevhen Konoplyanka and Samir Nasri at the end of last season, have jumped at the opportunity to bring Navas back to the club.

Celta Vigo have announced the signing of Slovakian midfielder Stanislav Lobotka from Danish side Nordsjaelland for €5m. Lobotka becomes Celta Vigo's second summer capture after striker Maxi Gomez.

Sevilla seal deal to sign Nolito

Sevilla have sealed a deal to sign Manchester City forward Nolito, pending a successful medical. The transfer fee has been reported to be about €9 million, after City paid €18m for him a year ago. The 30-year-old appeared in 30 games in all competitions in his only season with Man City, scoring six goals. He started only nine games in the Premier League and now returns to La Liga, where he starred for Celta Vigo from 2013-16.

Deulofeu completes return to Barcelona

Gerard Deulofeu officially completed his move back to Barcelona from Everton. The 23-year-old forward passed a medical on Friday before signing a two-year contract tying him to the Spanish giants until June 30, 2019. Barca last month activated the buy-back clause in Deulofeu's contract with the Blues to bring him back to the Camp Nou, where he came up through the youth ranks before moving to England in a permanent deal in 2015. It has reportedly cost Barca £10.5million to re-sign the Spain under-21 captain, who spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan.
