League format : Basketball : Euroleague Basket 2011/2012
The best European basketball competition hosts 24 teams, four groups of six. Each team plays 10 games within its group. Based on the point totals, the top four teams from each group advance to the Eureleague Top 16, a secod group stage. The 16 teams are divided into four groups of four. Each Top 16 group winner plays a quarterfinal against the second-placed team from a different Top 16 group, in three-game head-to-head series. The four teams who win their quarterfinal series advance to the Euroleague Final Four.
