news: transfers

Inter 30.7.16
Ansaldi joins Inter

Inter have completed the signing of Genoa defender Cristian Ansaldi. The 29-year-old spent last season on loan at Genoa from Russian Premier League side Zenit and the Serie A club activated a release clause to make the move permanent. However, it was widely expected the Argentina full-back would move on again, and he has already played for Inter in a pre-season friendly against Real Salt Lake.

Lazio 27.7.16
Lazio snap up Immobile from Sevilla

Ciro Immobile has left Sevilla for Lazio as he aims to relaunch his career after a number of difficult seasons. Immobile, 26, spent the second half of last season on loan with Torino where he scored five goals in 14 appearances, after failing to make an impression in La Liga during the first half of the campaign. Lazio have reportedly paid €8.5 million for the Italy international, who joined Sevilla last summer from Borussia Dortmund for €11m. Immobile becomes Lazio's second signing of the close season after the previous arrival of Jordan Lukaku from Oostende.

Juventus 26.7.16
Higuain completes Juventus move

Juventus have completed the signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli for €90 million. Juventus agreed to pay the transfer fee in two instalments with Higuain understood to have agreed a four-year deal worth up to €10m a year with bonuses after tax. Higuain, who joined Napoli in 2013 and had another two years to run on his contract, scored 36 goals in 35 Serie A games last season.

Juventus 23.7.16
Higuain close to Juventus move

Following months of speculation Gonzalo Higuain finally appears to be on his way out of Napoli after Serie A rivals Juventus triggered the centre forward's buy out clause of €94m. Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool had all been linked to the 28-year-old, who last season scored 36 league goals. Higuain has completed a medical with the champions and all that remains is confirmation from the clubs that the Serie A transfer record has been broken.

Sampdor. 23.7.16
Djuricic joins Sampdoria on loan

Sampdoria have signed Serbia international Filip Djuricic on a season-long loan from Portuguese champions Benfica. The Serie A side have the right to make the 24-year-old attacking midfielder's move permanent at the end of the campaign. Djuricic, who has 24 international caps, began his career in his homeland with Radnicki Obrenovac before making almost 100 appearances in the top tier of Dutch football with Heerenveen. He moved to Benfica in 2013 but struggled for first-team football in Portugal and spent time on loan with German club Mainz, Premier League Southampton and Belgian side Anderlecht.

Juventus 21.7.16
Juventus complete Pjaca signing

Following his medical on Thursday morning, Juventus have now officially completed the signing of Marko Pjaca from Dinamo Zagreb for a €23m fee. Pjaca has put to pen to paper on five-year deal at the Juventus stadium, where he will now become the club's fourth signing of the summer transfer window, receiving a salary of around €1.8m per season. The 21-year-old winger will now join up with his new teammates on their pre-season tour of Australia.

Udinese 21.7.16
Udinese sign De Paul from Valencia

Udinese have signed Rodrigo De Paul from Valencia. The 22-year-old joins Udinese on a five-year deal for a reported fee of €3m. The Argentine winger joined Valencia in 2014 and made 29 appearances across all competitions for the LaLiga side. However, after a promising first season, he was sent out on loan back to junior outfit Racing Club in January of this year.

Juventus 19.7.16
Pjaca to complete Juventus move

Marko Pjaca is finally set to join Juventus, confirming that he'll be playing his last game for Dinamo Zagreb tomorrow. The talented winger has long been expected to join the Bianconeri and looks set to complete his medical on Thursday.

"On Wednesday I'll play my last game for Dinamo and then I'll move to my preferred club," Pjaca told the Croatian media. "Where am I going? You'll find out in a few days. I want to say a big thanks to Dinamo, it was a dream to play in the Maksimir Stadium and to win trophies with this club."

Torino 19.7.16
Torino sign forward Adem Ljajic

Roma have confirmed that forward Adem Ljajic has joined Torino for a fee that could rise to €9m. The 24-year-old Serbia international completed a medical early on Tuesday before signing a contract with Sinisa Mihajlovic's side. Roma also announced that midfielder Iago Falque, 26, has joined on a season-long loan with the option to make the move permanent in 2017.

Napoli 16.7.16
Giaccherini completes Napoli move

Sunderland and Italy winger Emanuele Giaccherini has joined Napoli on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee. The 31-year-old joined the Black Cats in 2013 from Juventus but, after an impressive first season, he struggled to make an impact. He played 43 times in total for the club, scoring five goals, but spent last season on loan at Serie A Bologna.

Juventus 15.7.16
Benatia joins Juventus on loan

Juventus have announced the signing of Bayern Munich defender Medhi Benatia on loan, with the deal including an option to make the move permanent. The 29-year-old leaves the Bundesliga champions after just two seasons, with his time in Germany not working out as he would have hoped. Injuries restricted Benatia to just 22 appearances last term, with only 14 coming in the Bundesliga. He was born in France but opted to play for Morocco at international level and has now earned 42 caps.

Roma 14.7.16
Juan Jesus moves to Roma on loan

Brazilian defender Juan Jesus has moved to Roma on loan from Inter Milan. The 25-year-old was a bit-part player under Inter boss Roberto Mancini last season, making just 19 league appearances. Jesus has four caps for Brazil, all in friendlies, but has not represented his country since 2013. He moved to the San Siro in 2012 from Brazilian side Internacional for €2.6m.
