transfers news

Milan 6.5 : Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with Milan starting at the end of this season. The 24-year-old Frenchman, whose Arsenal contract will expire in June, joined the London giants in 2004 from Marseille and went on to appear in 102 top-flight matches. Flamini has enjoyed his most consistent season in English football, making 30 Premier League starts and forming a strong midfield partnership with Cesc Fabregas.

Lazio 31.1 : French midfielder Ousmane Dabo has returned to Lazio after an 18-month absence, rejoining the club following a spell in England with Manchester City. The 30-year-old has signed a two-year-and-a half contract with the Italian side. Dabo joined City from Lazio in the summer of 2006 but failed to settle and has not featured at all under new manager Sven-Goran Eriksson in the Premier League this season.

Czech defender David Rozehnal has also signed for Lazio on loan for the remainder of the season, just seven months after joining Newcastle United. Rozehnal, 27, moved to the English club from Paris Saint-Germain and made 21 top-flight appearances in the first half of the campaign. Meanwhile, Newcastle are reported to have secured the signature of Atalanta's striker Fabio Zamblera, 17, on a four-year contract.

Torino 31.1 : Torino have signed winger Aimo Diana and defender Marco Pisano from Serie A rivals Palermo. The 29-year-old Diana, who has been capped 16 times by Italy, joins for an undisclosed fee on a contract until 2011. Pisano, 26, arrives on loan until the end of the season with the option of a permanent deal in the summer.

Juventus 30.1 : Juventus have acquired Malian international midfielder Mohamed Sissoko from Liverpool. The 23-year-old is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Italian giants, who have paid an initial €11m for his services with the remaining €2m dependent on appearances. Sissoko failed to hold down a regular first-team place, making only 51 Premiership appearances in his two-and-a-half years at Liverpool including only six this season. Juventus have also announced the arrival of Sweden defender Olof Mellberg, who will join the club on a free transfer from Aston Villa this summer, and have also brought in midfielder Guglielmo Stendardo on loan from Lazio until the end of the season.

Fiorentina 29.1 : Fiorentina have announced the transfer of 21-year-old defender Manuel da Costa from PSV Eindhoven for a reported fee of €4.5m. The Portuguese Under-21 international has signed a five-year contract. Da Costa started his career in France with Nancy before joining PSV in 2006.

Lazio 29.1 : Lazio have secured the services of central defender Stefan Radu on loan from Romanian champions Dinamo Bucuresti. The deal includes an option for the Italian club to complete a permanent transfer in the summer. The 21-year-old Romanian international is Lazio's second recruit of the January window after striker Rolando Bianchi's loan arrival from Manchester City.

Lazio 24.1 : Lazio have taken striker Rolando Bianchi on loan from Manchester City for the rest of the season, with the option of a permanent deal at the end of the season. The 24-year-old has struggled to establish himself at the English club since joining from Reggina in a €13m deal last summer. Bianchi has scored four goals in 19 Premiership appearances, only seven of which have been from the start.

Fiorentina 19.1 : Fiorentina have signed Senegal forward N'Diaye Papa Waigo from Genoa in a deal which sends Belgian international Anthony Vanden Borre in the opposite direction. Fiorentina will retain a 50 per cent stake in Vanden Borre's playing licence - and likewise Genoa with Papa Waigo.

Parma 16.1 : Italy striker Cristiano Lucarelli has made a surprise return to Serie A after agreeing a €5.7m move from Shakhtar Donetsk to Parma. The 32-year-old joined Shakhtar from Livorno for €8m last July, but has failed to secure a regular first-team place at the Ukrainian club. He departs with a record of four goals in 12 league matches, as well as another four in nine UEFA Champions League appearances, including qualification.

Inter 16.1 : Portugal midfielder Maniche has joined Inter Milan on loan from Spanish side Atletico Madrid until June. Media reports said Inter had first option to buy the 30-year-old for €6m at the end of the season. The Italian champions have drafted Maniche in after their midfield was ravaged by injuries. Patrick Vieira and Luis Figo are battling to return from long-term problems, Olivier Dacourt is out for the rest of the season after knee surgery and Dejan Stankovic has only just got over a heel injury.

Cagliari 10.1 : Cagliari have signed Brazilian striker Jeda from Serie B side Rimini and goalkeeper Marco Storari on loan from Milan. The 27-year-old Jeda, who has scored 12 goals for Rimini this season, reportedly signed a contract until 2011 with the Serie A strugglers but no details have been made official. Storari, 31, abandoned a loan spell at Spanish side Levante to join Cagliari.

Milan 6.1 : Milan's 18-year-old forward Pato could make his debut against Napoli next weekend after the club and the league said his registration had been completed. The Brazilian signed from Internacional in August but was ineligible to play until January. Meanwhile, striker Filippo Inzaghi was taken to hospital after suffering kidney stones during their mid-season break but Milan said he would be back in training in the next few days.

Inter 20.12 : Brazil champions Sao Paulo have taken troubled striker Adriano on a six-month loan from Inter. Financial details of the loan, which runs through June 30, 2008, were not immediately available. The 25-year-old Brazilian, once the most feared striker in Serie A, has hardly featured for Inter in the last two seasons after battling fitness and reported alcohol problems. At the time Adriano acknowledged he is going through a difficult time but rejected accusations and rumors about drinking problems.

Livorno 31.8 : Livorno Calcio have signed midfielder Daniele de Vezze, 27, from Messina Peloro. Also, they signed Albania striker Erjon Bogdani from Chievo Verona and Honduras midfielder Edgar AΑlvarez from Roma on loan.

Torino 31.8 : Torino have signed Uruguayan international Alvaro Recoba on a season's loan from Inter Milano. Torino have also acquired 22-year-old defender Hernan Dellafiore on loan from Citta di Palermo.
