Busy transfer deadline day for Inter

Inter Milano have secured the signings of Mateo Kovacic, Zdravko Kuzmanovic, Ezequiel Schelotto and Juan Pablo Carrizo on transfer deadline day. Croatian midfielder Kovacic, 18, arrives from Dinamo Zagreb for a fee that could reportedly rise to €15m. Argentinean winger Schelotto joins from Atalanta for around €3.5m plus Croatian striker Marko Livaja. Argentinean goalkeeper Carrizo, who arrived from Lazio, will deputise for Samir Handanovic after Luca Castellazzi suffered a shoulder injury. Kuzmanovic, a Serbia midfielder, is signing from Stuttgart for a reported fee of €2m.

Milan set to sign Balotelli from Manchester City

Milan have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign Italy striker Mario Balotelli. Reports said Milan will pay €20m plus bonuses for Balotelli, who will be taking a pay cut to move to the club he has supported since childhood. Balotelli's time in Manchester has been dominated by constant headlines, with the striker struggling with his discipline on the pitch. The 22-year-old is expected to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with Milan.

Wigan loan Boselli to Palermo

Wigan striker Mauro Boselli has joined Serie A outfit Palermo on loan until the end of the season. The 27-year-old Argentine joined the Latics in 2010 for a club record fee of €7.6 million, but the forward has failed to settle in. Boselli has only managed 15 Premier League appearances during his time at the club, with the former Estudiantes player failing to find the back of the net in a Latics shirt.

Anelka to sign for Juventus

Juventus is on the verge of signing Nicolas Anelka, who arrived in Turin for a medical on Saturday. Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta says the club has agreed to a deal with Anelka until the end of the season, with the option for a further year. Reports say the 33-year-old former France forward will undergo the medical on Sunday.

Fiorentina signs Wolski and Compper

Fiorentina has signed midfielder Rafal Wolski from Legia Warsaw and defender Marvin Compper from Hoffenheim. Compper, whose contract was out at the end of the season, had been sent to Hoffenheim's reserve team after telling the club he could not motivate himself for the struggle against relegation. The 27-year-old defender, who made one appearance for Germany in 2008, has signed until June 2016. Wolski has made three appearances for Poland and was part of its Euro 2012 squad. The 20-year-old midfielder has signed until June 2017.

Zaccardo to join Milan from Parma

Milan have signed defender Cristian Zaccardo from Parma, with left-back Djamel Mesbah and midfielder Rodney Strasser moving in the opposition direction. The 31-year-old Zaccardo has agreed a contract until 2016. He made his Serie A debut with Bologna in 2001 and also played for Palermo and Wolfsburg, where he won the Bundesliga title in 2008/09, before joining Parma ahead of the 2009/10 season.

Meanwhile the 28-year-old Mesbah, who is currently playing at the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria, leaves Milan after appearing only nine times in Serie A since arriving from Lecce last January. Strasser, a 22-year-old midfielder from Sierra Leone, will be loaned to Parma for the rest of the campaign.

Llorente to join Juventus in summer

Fernando Llorente will leave Athletic Bilbao and join Juventus on a free transfer this summer. The 27-year-old Spanish forward has spent his whole career with Athletic but, having failed to agree terms on a new contract. He has signed a contract with the Serie A side until June 2017, but will stay at Bilbao until the end of the season. Llorente has scored 82 league goals in 248 appearances for Athletic.

Calaio completes Napoli return

Napoli have signed Siena forward Emanuele Calaio on loan until the end of the season. The 31-year-old originally joined Napoli in the 2004/05 season and went onto score 44 goals in 128 appearances before falling out of favour and joining Siena three years later. However, he regained his form netting 50 times during his spell in Tuscany, and will now likely serve as Edinson Cavani's deputy.

Rossi joins Fiorentina

Preparing to return from injury, Italy forward Giuseppe Rossi has completed a transfer from Villarreal to Fiorentina. The Tuscan club announced the move Friday and Rossi signed a four-year deal. Fiorentina reportedly paid a €9.5 million transfer fee to Villarreal.

Rossi has been out for 14 months, since tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a game against Real Madrid in October 2011. He is expected to start playing again in March.

Pato quits AC Milan for Corinthians

Brazil striker Pato is leaving Milan for Corinthians Paulista "in order to play on a regular basis", with injuries having hampered his five-and-a-half-year spell at San Siro. The 23-year-old scored 51 goals in 117 Serie A games despite suffering a long list of muscular problems during his Rossoneri career. Corinthians will reportedly pay Milan a €15 million transfer fee with Pato agreeing to a four-year contract.

Juventus have signed Italian international defender Federico Peluso on loan from Atalanta with an option to make the deal permanent next summer. The left-back , 28, has made 13 Serie A appearances for Atalanta this season. Peluso could find an immediate void to fill at Juventus, with Giorgio Chiellini out because of a calf injury and Kwadwo Asamoah absent on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Ghana.

Bendtner moves to Juventus

Juventus have signed forward Nicklas Bendtner, 24, from Arsenal on loan. Juventus will reportedly pay Bendtner €1.5 million this season, and will have the option to pay Arsenal €6 million after this season to keep him. Bendtner scored eight goals while on loan with Sunderland last season. Bendtner becomes the club's second deal this week after goalkeeper Rubinho joined from fellow Serie A side Palemo.
