transfers news

Milan 2.2.10
Milan loan Mancini from Inter

Inter loaned Amantino Mancini to rivals Milan on the final day of the transfer window. After moving from Roma in 2008, the Brazilian midfielder failed to secure a first team place and played in only seven games with Inter this season. Milan have have the option to buy half Mancini's playing rights at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Inter acquired Macdonald Mariga from Parma, signing the Kenyan midfielder to a contract through June 2014.

Palermo 2.2.10
Palermo sign defender Celustka

Palermo have taken defender Ondrej Celustka from Slavia Prague on loan until the end of the season, with the option to sign him on a permanent basis in the summer. Financial details were not disclosed. However, Czech media reported Slavia received €0.5m and would get another €2.3m if Palermo signs the 20-year-old Celustka after the loan expires.

Fiorentina 1.2.10
Cassano no, Keirrison yes for Fiorentina

Fiorentina failed in a bid to sign Antonio Cassano on loan from Sampdoria. With Adrian Mutu facing a possible long-term doping ban, Fiorentina had attempted to lure Cassano but the Italian striker has rejected an offer, choosing to stay with Sampdoria. However, Fiorentina have secured the loan services of Barcelona striker Keirrison. The 21-year-old Brazilian has spent the first half of the season on loan at Benfica.

Lazio 31.1.10
Thomas Hitzlsperger seals Lazio move

Germany midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger has joined Italian club Lazio after losing his place in the starting line-up at Stuttgart. Despite his current deal running to June 2010, both parties agreed to a cancellation that allowed the 27-year-old to sign for Lazio. Hitzlsperger was worried that a lack of playing time could jeopardize his place in Germany's World Cup squad. Italian media reported that the deal was worth €3m.

Parma 30.1.10
Hernan Crespo returns to Parma

According to reports in Italy, Hernan Crespo has already sealed a return to former club Parma. The 34-year-old only joined Genoa at the beginning of the season and has featured in 16 of the 21 league games, contributing five goals. Crespo wants a place in Argentina's World Cup squad this summer and has reportedly made the leap to Parma with the promise of a place in the starting line-up.

Livorno 30.1.10
Di Gennaro joins Livorno on loan

Milan midfielder Davide Di Gennaro has joined Livorno on loan until the end of the season. The 21-year-old had found first-team opportunities extremely limited at San Siro this season, having failed to make a single league appearance under Brazilian coach Leonardo. The youngster's move to Tuscany will be the third time he has had to temporarily leave the Rossoneri, having previously spent loan spells with Reggina and Bologna. Livorno have been desperate to bring in another midfielder following the departure of Antonio Candreva to Juventus last week.

Fiorentina 30.1.10
Fiorentina signs Seferovic from Grasshopper

Fiorentina has signed 17-year-old forward Haris Seferovic from Swiss side Grasshoppe. Seferovic led Switzerland to the under-17 World Cup title in November, tying three other players for the tournament scoring lead with five goals. Fiorentina said Friday that the deal would be finalized after medical exams Monday. The Tuscan club needed another forward with Adrian Mutu facing a possible long-term ban for failed doping tests.

Juventus 21.1.10
Juventus sign Candreva on loan from Udinese

Juventus have taken midfielder Antonio Candreva on loan from Udinese, with a view to making the switch permanent in June for €7.5m. The 22-year-old has spent the past year and a half on loan at Livorno, where he has made 52 appearances. Last season he helped the club secure promotion to Serie A. Candreva played several games with Italy's national youth teams and two with the world champions squad coached by Marcello Lippi.

Juventus 17.1.10
Michele Paolucci back at Juventus

Siena striker Michele Paolucci has returned to Juventus on loan until the end of the season. The 23-year-old came through the ranks with the Turin club but failed to make a first-team appearance and left in 2006, enjoying subsequent loan spells at Ascoli, Udinese, Atalanta and Catania. Paolucci entered into a co-ownership deal between Juventus and Siena last summer and went on to score twice in ten Serie A appearances this season.

Sampdor. 16.1.10
Marco Storari joins Sampdoria

Sampdoria have signed goalkeeper Marco Storari on loan from Milan until the end of the season. The 33-year-old former Messina and Cagliari goalkeeper started the campaign as first choice at Milan. He appeared seven times in Serie A and twice in the UEFA Champions League, but after suffering a thigh injury in October lost the No1 jersey to Dida. Sampdoria were in the market for a goalkeeper after Luca Castellazzi suffered a knee injury, which will keep him out of action for about two months.

Fiorentina 15.1.10
Serbian forward Ljajic joins Fiorentina

Fiorentina have reached an agreement with Partizan to sign their 18-year-old attacking midfielder Adem Ljajic for a reported fee of €8m. Ljajic was wanted by Manchester United last year but his move to Old Trafford fell through after the English champions said last month they were unable to obtain a work permit for the 18-year-old who has yet to make an international appearance. Ljajic, who is considered Serbia's most talented football player, will sign a four-and-a-half year contract with Fiorentina.

Napoli 9.1.10
Napoli sign Dossena from Liverpool

Andrea Dossena has completed his long-awaited move to Napoli. The former Liverpool stopper had been seeking an exit since the summer and he has been presented with the chance to begin a new adventure in Naples. Dossena arrived in Italy from Merseyside on Thursday and successfully completed a medical. Subsequently he has signed a four-year deal.
