Inter 2.7.09
Inter complete deal for Thiago Motta

Two days after Diego Milito swapped Genoa for Inter, Brazilian midfielder Thiago Motta has followed suit, signing a four-year contract with the Italian champions. The 26-year-old, whose career was threatened by injury when at Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, rediscovered form and fitness with Genoa last term when he helped guide them to a surprise fifth place finish in Serie A.

Youth players, midfielder Francesco Bolzoni, centre-back Leonardo Bonucci and striker Riccardo Meggiorini are joining Genoa on a permanent basis as part of the Motta deal. Genoa, meanwhile, continued their squad rebuilding by bringing in striker Sergio Floccari from Atalanta, Montenegrin defender Ivan Fatic from Chievo Verona and Moroccan midfielder Houssine Kharja from Siena.

Inter 30.6.09
Diego Milito completes Inter switch

Diego Milito completed his move to Inter from Genoa in one of a number of transfers expected to go through between the two clubs. The 30-year-old Argentina striker has penned a four-year deal. Milito struck 24 goals in 31 Serie A games last season, just one fewer than the man likely to be his new strike partner, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Media reports say forward Julio Cruz is leaving with Fiorentina expressing an interest, while French midfielder Patrick Vieira wants to return to France.

Genoa team mate Thiago Motta, the Brazilian midfielder whose career was threatened by injury when at Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, is also due to be unveiled as an Inter player in the next few days. Italy Under-21 striker Robert Acquafresca, who spent last season on loan at Cagliari, will join Genoa as part of the Motta deal but is expected to be immediately loaned out to Atalanta. Genoa are also in the process of signing Inter's Argentine forward Hernan Crespo and Atalanta striker Sergio Floccari.

Milan 26.6.09
Abate returns to Milan, Aubameyang loaned to Lille

Ignazio Abate has returned to Milan after a year with Torino, but it is not yet clear if he is a part of coach Leonardo's plans or whether he will be moving on once again. The 22-year-old winger spent the last season in Turin on a co-ownership deal, but Milan have repurchased the entire rights to the player for €2.2m. Meanwhile, Lille have secured the services of Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on a one-year loan from Milan. The 20-year-old scored eight goals in 34 league games for Dijon last season as they finished eighth in Ligue 2.

Roma 23.6.09
Roma get Stefano Guberti for free

Roma have agreed to sign Bari midfielder Stefano Guberti. The 24-year-old, who has inked a four-year deal, will join Roma on a free transfer when his contract with Bari expires at the end of June. Guberti, who only joined Bari in February from Ascoli, helped his side win the Italian second division title with 9 goals in 18 matches.

Milan 19.6.09
Cissokho's transfer to Milan collapses

Porto have confirmed that Aly Cissokho's transfer to Milan has collapsed after the French left-back failed a medical. The move had been delayed over fears regarding dental problems revealed during a medical, but that issue was resolved after the player underwent further tests. However, Milan now claim that the move has stalled due to financial differences with Porto. Media reports said the original fee agreed was about €15m.

Inter 16.6.09
Mourinho wants Carvalho and Deco

Inter president Massimo Moratti said he is close to signing Portugal internationals Deco and Ricardo Carvalho from Chelsea. Central defender Carvalho and Brazilian-born midfielder Deco, both 31, have played under Mourinho at Porto, winning the 2004 UEFA Champions League. Carvalho also played for the Portuguese coach when he was in charge at Chelsea. Meanwhile, Moratti remains confident that striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will stay with the Italian champions this summer.

Milan 15.6.09
Cissokho set for Milan switch

Milan have agreed a deal to buy French left-back Aly Cissokho from Porto, their first acquisition of the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old defender will join the Italian giants on a five-year contract for a transfer fee of €15m. Cissokho, who only joined Porto in January this year for €300,000, started his professional career with Gueugnon, before heading to Portugal in the summer of 2008 to join Vitoria Setubal.

Inter 11.6.09
Inter let Cruz leave, deny Ibrahimovic deal

Defender Marco Materazzi has agreed a one-year contract extension with Inter. The 35-year-old made just eight Serie A appearances last season but has nonetheless been granted another 12-month term, prolonging his deal until summer 2010. Meanwhile, Argentine striker Julio Cruz will leave Serie A champions after finding his chances limited last term. Inter have also dismissed reports suggesting Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is heading for Barcelona this summer.

Milan 5.6.09
Kaka decision set for Monday

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi expects a final decision on the future of Kaka to be made on Monday. Real Madrid, whose new president Florentino Perez is a long-time admirer of the 27-year-old Brazilian playmaker and Chelsea, who have just appointed his former Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti, have been linked in the media with the 2007 world player of the year.

Real have reportedly offered €65m for Kaka and a five-year deal with an annual salary of €9.5m. Chelsea, meanwhile, denied that they had bid for Kaka, who turned down a world-record €100m offer from Manchester City in January. Selling Kaka would make economic sense for Milan but no other top player will be allowed to leave, chief executive Adriano Galliani has said.

Napoli 2.6.09
Napoli snap up Fabio Quagliarella

Forward Fabio Quagliarella has left Udinese and signed a five-year contract with Napoli. The speedy 26-year-old has returned to his home town despite interest from Serie A champions Inter Milan. Quagliarella, who scored 33 goals in 82 games for Udinese and 3 goals in 12 appearances for Italy, will be reunited with former Italy boss Roberto Donadoni at Napoli.

Juventus 26.5.09
Juventus sign Diego from Werder Bremen

After bringing free-agent Fabio Cannavaro back to Turin last week, Juventus have made their second signing ahead of the 2009/10 season by acquiring the services of Brazilian midfielder Diego from Werder Bremen for €24.5m on a five-year deal. His arrival is aimed at filling the gap created by Pavel Nedved's expected retirement. Diego, 24, joined Werder from Porto three seasons ago and developed into the top playmaker in the Bundesliga.

Inter 22.5.09
Genoa agree to sell Milito, Motta to Inter

Genoa striker Diego Milito and midfielder Thiago Motta have agreed to join Serie A champions Inter Milan at the end of the season. The duo has been instrumental in Genoa's push for a UEFA Champions League place this campaign, with Argentina's Milito scoring 20 goals and Brazilian Motta providing the creative spark in midfield. No transfer fees have been announced, but Italian media have reported that Inter striker Robert Acquafreca, who has scored 12 goals while on loan at Cagliari, will move to Genoa as part of the deal for Milito and Motta.
