news: transfers

Inter 31.7.15
City striker Jovetic joins Inter on loan

Montenegrin striker Stevan Jovetic has completed his loan move to Inter Milan, bringing to an end his injury-hit two-year spell with Manchester City. The Premier League club have confirmed the 25-year-old has joined Inter on a year-and-a-half loan deal, with a view to a permanent transfer. Jovetic joined City from Fiorentina in the summer of 2013, but has not been a regular in Manuel Pellegrini's side.

Napoli 30.7.15
Napoli sign Vlad Chiriches

Vlad Chiriches, 25, has left Tottenham to join Serie A side Napoli in a 6.4m deal. The Romania defender has already been training with his new team-mates at Napoli's pre-season training camp in Dimaro this week, and the Premier League club finally confirmed the transfer on Thursday evening. Chiriches made just 43 appearances in his two seasons at Tottenham after joining the North London club from Steaua Bucharest in August 2013.

Lazio 29.7.15
Kishna leaves Ajax for Lazio

Lazio have announced the signing of striker Ricardo Kishna from Ajax on a four-year for a fee believed to be around 4m. The 20-year-old managed 26 appearances last season for Ajax, ending the campaign with five goals and five assists. Kishna becomes Lazio's fourth Dutch player in their current squad alongside Stefan de Vrij, Edson Braafheid and Wesley Hoedt.

Roma 29.7.15
Roma complete Szczesny loan signing

Roma confirmed the signing of Polish international goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesnyl on loan from Arsenal. The 25-year-old made 29 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners last season, helping the team win the FA Cup in his final game of the campaign. Szczesny was previously number one for the Gunners before losing his place to David Ospina last season and with the arrival of Petr Cech from Chelsea he would have fallen even further down the pecking order.

Roma 26.7.15
Szczesny confirms move to Roma

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szscesny has announced he will join Roma on a season-long loan on Monday. The 25-year-old posted a video on his Instagram account on Sunday evening to confirm he would be leaving the Emirates for Rome. The Italian giants had been interested in signing Szczesny permanently, but that did not suit the player or Arsenal at this stage. Szczesny lost his place as Arsenal's No 1 goalkeeper last season following David Ospina's arrival, and this summer's signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea has pushed both further from the first team.

Inter 26.7.15
Jovetic set for Inter Milan medical

Stevan Jovetic is set to join Inter Milan after the Serie A side announced he will have a medical on Tuesday. The Montenegro striker has failed to establish himself at Manchester City and will seek to relaunch his career in Italy. It would be a second spell in Serie A for 25-year-old Jovetic, who scored 40 goals in five seasons with Fiorentina despite missing the 2010-11 campaign with a cruciate ligament injury. He then joined City in 2013 but has managed just 12 goals in 45 appearances in two seasons in England.

Bologna 25.7.15
Bologna sign Franco Brienza

Former Palermo forward Franco Brienza has signed a one-year contract with newly-promoted Bologna. The 36-year-old was a free agent after leaving relegated Cesena in the summer but will continue his top-flight career after committing to the Rossoblu. Brienza, who has two Italy caps, can also number Siena, Reggina and Atalanta among his previous clubs.

Fiorentina 25.7.15
Suarez completes Fiorentina move

Spain international midfielder Mario Suarez completed his move to Fiorentina from Atletico Madrid. The 28-year-old's move, confirmed by the Serie A club, brings his second spell at Atletico to an end. Suarez rejoined Atletico in 2010 and went on to win La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Europa League. The move comes in the same week Montenegro international Stefan Savic made the switch the other way, heading to Atletico from Fiorentina.

Bologna 21.7.15
Brighi completes Bologna move

Bologna have completed the signing of veteran midfielder Matteo Brighi. Former Italy international Brighi, 34, joins from Sassuolo, having made 23 appearances last season. Brighi, who had spells at Juventus, Roma and Parma earlier in his career, will join fellow new signings Lorenzo Crisetig, Antonio Mirante and Luca Rossettini at the Renato Dall'Ara as Bologna target top-flight survival.

Palermo 14.7.15
Hiljemark joins Palermo

Palermo have signed Swedish international midfielder Oscar Hiljemark from PSV Eindhoven for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old, who had two years left on his contract with the Eredivisie club, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Italian outfit. Hiljemark captained his country to their first ever European Under-21 Championship title in the Czech Republic last month.

Verona 11.7.15
Pazzini moves to Verona

Hellas Verona have announced the signing of Giampaolo Pazzini from AC Milan. The 30-year-old, who has 25 caps for the Italian national side, spent three years with Milan, joining in the summer of 2012 from Inter. He scored 24 goals in 86 appearances for Milan and has 139 goals throughout his club career.

Inter 11.7.15
Biabiany joins Inter

Inter Milan have signed former Parma midfielder Jonathan Biabiany on a four-year contract. Biabiany, who began his career with Inter eight years ago, has put pen to paper on a deal that will see him remain at the San Siro until the summer of 2019. Biabiany appeared on the brink of moving to Inter's city rivals AC Milan last summer until a heart issue put paid to any potential transfer. After being diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat, Biabiany terminated his contract with Parma in April, but is now ready to resume his career.
