Abraham joins Eintracht Frankfurt

Hoffenheim defender David Abraham has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a three-year deal. The 28-year-old Argentinian, who joined Hoffenheim from Getafe in January 2013, made 42 league appearances and scored two goals before making the switch to the Commerzbank-Arena. Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hubner is delighted to add Abraham to the squad ahead of the new season: "David fits exactly into the requirement profile that we have sought for the position of central defender. He is quick, and strong in the tackle."

Uth signs for Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim have signed former Cologne striker Mark Uth from Heerenveen. Uth moves to the Bundesliga club on a three-year contract after three seasons in the Eredivisie. The 23-year-old forward netted 20 goals in 36 league appearances last term. His arrival at the Rhein-Neckar Arena boosts a forward line shorn of the services of Liverpool-bound Brazil international Roberto Firmino.

Hamburg have triggered their option to sign Lewis Holtby from Tottenham on a permanent basis. The 24-year-old German midfielder spent last season on loan at the Bundesliga club, who had the option to make it permanent as part of the deal. Holtby played 24 league games for Hamburg last season without scoring.

Bayern seal Costa deal

Shakhtar Donetsk have confirmed that the Brazil midfielder Douglas Costa will move to Bayern Munich for 30m. The 24-year-old has spent the past six seasons with Shakhtar and won the Ukrainian domestic title five times, as well as featuring regularly in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League. Costa will link up with his new team-mates on July 11 having been granted additional leave by Bayern coach Pep Guardiola due to his involvement with Brazil at the Copa America.

Eintracht Frankfurt have signed striker Luc Castaignos from Dutch outfit Twente. The 22-year-old has signed a three-year deal. Castaignos began his professional career at Feyenoord, moving to Inter Milan in 2011 and then back to his homeland to play for Twente in 2012. He scored a total of 42 league goals in 102 appearances in the Eredvisie.

Hannover sign Klaus

Hannover 96 have completed their fourth signing of the summer, snapping up Felix Klaus from relegated Freiburg on a four-year deal. Klaus, who was part of Germany's U-21 European Championship squad, becomes the second Freiburg player to join the Reds following in the footsteps of Oliver Sorg. "Felix possesses the tempo that we're looking for in the wide attacking positions and, according to our assessments, has huge potential to develop further," said head coach Michael Frontzeck of the 22-year-old, who made 52 Bundesliga appearances, scoring seven times, during his two-year stint in the Black Forest.

Stuttgart sign Langerak from Dortmund

Australia goalkeeper Mitch Langerak has joined Stuttgart from Borussia Dortmund. Langerak, who is reported to have cost around 4 million, has signed a contract at Stuttgart until 2018. The 26-year-old had served as backup to Roman Weidenfeller during his five-year stint at Dortmund, although he managed to break into Jurgen Klopp's first XI at times last season, playing 10 games in the Bundesliga and six in the DFB Pokal, including the final.

Mainz snap up Beister

Mainz have signed free agent Maximilian Beister on a three-year deal on Saturday. Sporting director Christian Heidel believes Beister, whose contract with Hamburger SV expired at the end of the 2014/15 campaign, will "fit in well" with Mainz's style of play, but played down talk of the 24-year-old being bought to fill Okazaki's shoes. "We have not bought him as a like-for-like replacement for Shinji Okazaki," claimed Heidel. "Maximilian Beister has played at the highest level of German football for several years. We've known him and his qualities for a while now."

Ingolstadt sign Kachunga

Ingolstadt 04 have boosted their attack ahead of the coming season with the signing of striker Elias Kachunga from relegated Paderborn. The 23-year-old, who scored six Bundesliga goals in 2014/15, has penned a four-year deal, keeping him at the Bavarian club until summer 2019. "After the disappointment of getting relegated with Paderborn it wasn't an easy decision to leave," Kachunga said. "But Ingolstadt can offer me great opportunities. I'll have the chance to keep developing, to use the experience I gained from last season's relegation battle and to achieve the club's aim of staying up."

Caicara joins Schalke

Schalke have signed Junior Caicara from Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad on a three-year contract. Apart from Brazilian citizenship, the The 26-year-old right-back has also held a Bulgarian passport for a year. Caicara won the Bulgarian Championship with Ludogorets in each of the last three campaigns, also lifting the Bulgarian Cup with his side in both 2012 and 2014. Caicara took part in last season's Champions League, playing the full duration in all six group games against Real Madrid, Liverpool and Basel.

Stuttgart have secured the services of Lukas Rupp from Paderborn on a three-year-deal. The 24-year-old midfielder scored four goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances for Paderborn last season but he was released after they were relegated to Germany's second tier. Three wins from their final three games enabled Stuttgart to avoid the same fate.

Borussia Monchengladbach have completed the signing of young Swiss defender Nico Elvedi from Zurich on a four-year contract. The 18-year-old made his Zurich debut last year and has also played 23 games for Switzerland's youth teams. Elvedi is the second teenager in as many days to make the switch to Borussia Park following England Under-18 full back Mandela Egbo's arrival on Tuesday.
