Xabi Alonso set to complete Bayern move

Xabi Alonso is poised to complete his move to Bayern Munich after Real Madrid confirmed on Friday an agreement had been struck between the two clubs. Bayern's financial director Jan-Christian Dreesen revealed on Thursday that an agreement for the 32-year-old midfielder had been struck "in principle", with the 2010 World Cup winner due in Munich later in the day for a medical and to discuss terms.

Madrid have now issued a statement confirming the deal, with Alonso set to bid his farewells to the European champions at a press conference this morning. The statement read: "Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have reached an agreement for the transfer of Xabi Alonso. The player will appear before the media today at 11am (local time) at the Santiago Bernabeu press room, accompanied by the director of institutional relations, Emilio Butragueno."

Bayern confirm Benatia deal

Bayern have won the race to sign highly-rated defender Mehdi Benatia from Roma. The 27-year-old Morocco international had reportedly been a target for Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City earlier in the transfer window, but has now agreed on a move to Munich after excelling at the Stadio Olimpico. The Bundesliga giants have secured his services for the next five years.

Hannover 23.8.14
Hannover complete Briand deal

Hannover have completed the signing of French forward Jimmy Briand, 29, on a one-year contract. The five-cap France international saw his contract with Lyon expire at the end of last season and had been linked with moves to Turkey and England. However, Briand, who scored 22 goals in 110 league matches for Lyon, is now under contract at the HDI Arena until June 2015.

Wolfsburg 15.8.14
Bendtner moves to Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg have completed the signing of Denmark international Nicklas Bendtner on a free transfer. The 26-year-old former Arsenal striker signed a three-year contract with the Lower Saxony outfit. Bendtner failed to hold down a regular starting spot during his nine-year spell at the Emirates Stadium, and his contract was not renewed at the end of the 2013-14 campaign.

Hoffenh. 14.8.14
Zuber moves to Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim have signed winger Steven Zuber from CSKA Moscow on a four-year-deal. Zuber moves to the Rhein-Neckar Arena on a contract until June 2018 after just over a year with the Russian club. The former Switzerland Under-21 international joined CSKA from Grasshopper in July last year and helped them win the Russian Premier League. Zuber, who turns 23 on Sunday, also won two Russian Super Cups during his time in Moscow, but has now opted for a new challenge in the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg 9.8.14
Wolfsburg bring in Guilavogui

Wolfsburg have confirmed the loan signing of midfielder Josuha Guilavogui from Atletico Madrid. The 23-year-old French international arrives on a two-year loan from the Spanish champions, with Wolfsburg securing an option to make the move permanent for a reported fee of 5m. Guilavogui joined Atletico from Saint-Etienne last summer but, unable to make his mark, was loaned back to his original club for the second half of the season. He has five France caps and has appeared in 103 Ligue 1 matches.

Hamburg 7.8.14
Djourou completes Hamburg move

HSV have completed the signing of Arsenal defender Johan Djourou. The 27-year-old spent the 2013-14 season on loan at the Bundesliga club, making 24 league appearances, and has now made the move permanent.

Djourou joined Arsenal in 2003 as a 16-year-old and made 144 appearances for the first team, though he struggled to nail down a spot in starting XI in recent seasons, also spending the second half of the 2012-13 season on loan in Germany, with Hannover 96. The versatile defender, who featured at both centre-back and right-back throughout his career, represented Switzerland at the World Cup.

Hamburg 6.8.14
HSV snap up Muller from Mainz

Hamburger SV have announced the signing of Nicolai Muller from Mainz. The 26-year-old forward, who scored 9 goals in 26 top-flight appearances last season, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal. A former member of Eintracht Frankfurt's youth academy, Muller joined Greuther Furth at the age of 16, before joining Thomas Tuchel's Mainz in the summer of 2011.

Bayern 5.8.14
Bayern sign Pepe Reina

Bayern have confirmed the signing of Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina, as the German champions agreed a 2.5m deal. The move ends the Spain international keeper's search for a permanent club after spending last season on loan at Napoli. The 31-year-old failed to play a single minute of Liverpool's pre-season tour of the USA with Simon Mignolet, Brad Jones and rookie Danny Ward all named ahead of him.

Stuttgart 4.8.14
Romeu heads to Stuttgart

Spanish midfielder Oriol Romeu has joined Stuttgart on a season-long loan from Chelsea. Romeu will spend the 2014-15 season in the Bundesliga after playing in Spain last term for Valencia. The 22-year-old is loaned out less than three weeks after signing a new, three-year contract extension at Stamford Bridge. He has made just 15 Premier League starts since joining the Blues from Barcelona in 2011.

Bayer L. 3.8.14
Papadopoulos joins Bayer

Bayer Leverkusen have signed Greek defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos from Schalke on loan until the end of the season. The 22-year-old has missed much of the past two seasons due to injury, but he now hopes to kick-start his career at the BayArena.

Hamburg 3.8.14
Behrami joins HSV

Switzerland international Valon Behrami has completed his move from Napoli to Hamburg on a permanent basis. He made 21 appearances for Napoli last season, struggling to force his way into coach Rafael Benitez's plans. Former Genoa, Verona, Lazio and West Ham United midfielder Behrami joined Napoli from Fiorentina in 2012. Behrami appeared in all four of Switzerland's matches at the World Cup this summer and has been capped a total of 52 times.
