Valdez signs for Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt have completed the signing of striker Nelson Valdez. The 30-year-old has penned a two-year deal after spending last season with Al-Jazira in the United Arab Emirates while also going out on loan at Olympiacos. The Paraguayan has also played for Borussia Dortmund, Hercules, Rubin Kazan and Valencia, and will be reunited with head coach Thomas Schaaf who he played under at Werder Bremen.

Hannover has signed Austria goalkeeper Robert Almer on a one-year contract. The 30-year-old was a free agent after leaving Energie Cottbus, which was relegated from Germany's second division last season. Hannover said Almer, who has made 15 appearances for Austria, will join the team on Monday.

Kiyotake joins Hannover

Hannover have signed Japan attacking midfielder Hiroshi Kiyotake from relegated Bundesliga rival Nuremberg. The 24-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the Lower Saxony club. No details were released. Kiyotake has already made 64 appearances in Germany's top flight, scoring seven times. He picked up his 26th cap for Japan during the World Cup, featuring in the group fixture against Colombia. Kiyotake is the sixth player to be signed by the rebuilding Hannover.

Hannover have secured the services of Ceyhun Gulselam from Galatasaray on a two-year contract. The 26-year-old midfielder joined the Turkish giants from Trabzonspor in 2011, making 13 league appearances in one and a half seasons before being loaned to Kayserispor for the second half of the 2012-13 campaign. Gulselam returned to make more of an impression during 2013-14, playing 20 times in the Super Lig as Galatasaray finished second behind Fenerbahce.

Eintracht Frankfurt have signed midfielder Lucas Piazon on a season-long loan from Chelsea. The Brazilian has found it difficult to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge since his arrival in 2012 and spent last season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem where he scored 11 goals in 29 appearances. The 20-year-old previously spent time on loan at Malaga, where he made his Champions League debut.

Mainz have strengthened their squad with the signing of Serbian international Filip Djuricic from Benfica. The 22-year-old forward, who had scored 20 goals and provided 23 assists for Dutch side Heerenveen before joining Benfica last summer, has agreed a season-long loan deal. The 15-time Serbia international becomes the third new face in Mainz this summer after they have already snapped up the Gonzalo Jara and Stefanos Kapino.

Borussia Dortmund have signed Matthias Ginter from Freiburg. The 20-year-old centre-back has penned a five-year contract with the Westphalians. Ginter made a total of 81 Bundesliga appearances for Freiburg, scoring five goals. He has been capped by Germany three times.

Mainz have picked up Chile international Gonzalo Jara on a two-year contract after he became a free agent. The 28-year-old, who played for West Brom, Nottingham Forest and Brighton in England, could extend his stay with the Bundesliga club based on performances. Jara, who has been capped 69 times by his country, said he was "looking forward to the new challenge in the Bundesliga after many years in England."

Freiburg have signed Serbian international centre-back Stefan Mitrovic. The 24-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Spanish side Real Valladolid, joins the Baden-Wurttemberg based outfit from Portuguese champions Benfica. Mitrovic featured 16 times for Valladolid after joining the Spanish top-flight side in January.

Hertha sign forward Beerens

Hertha Berlin have signed forward Roy Beerens, 26, from AZ Alkmaar on a three-year contract. The two-time Netherlands international, who came through the PSV Eindhoven youth academy and played for NEC Nijmegen on loan and Heerenveen before moving to Alkmaar in 2011, turned out 33 times for AZ last season, scoring five goals.

Beerens is the second striker to join Hertha this summer, following Julian Schieber's arrival from Dortmund. Last season's top scorer Adrian Ramos has departed in the opposite direction, while centre forward Pierre-Michel Lasogga's loan move to Hamburger SV was made permanent.

Werder Bremen have signed Bosnia-Herzegovina international Izet Hajrovic from Galatasaray. Hajrovic, who represented his country at the World Cup, moves to Germany on a four-year deal. The former Grasshoppers man, 22, only joined Galatasaray in January, making just 12 appearances for the club.

Bayern have announced the signing of Juan Bernat from Valencia. Bernat, 21, operates as a left winger but can also play in a more defensive role as a left-back. Having come through the ranks at Valencia, Bernat has represented Spain at under-16, 17, 19, 20 and 21 levels. He has signed a five-year contract with Bundesliga champions.
