The 28-year-old is expected to join the French champions on a three-and-a-half year deal after a frustrating spell in Italy. He has been limited to just two Coppa Italia appearances this term. Boumsong arrives in Lyon as cover for Anderson after the Brazilian joined fellow centre-backs Patrick Muller and Cris on the long-term absentee list.
