Marseille sign Milton Casco

Argentina defender Milton Casco is set to complete a move from Newell's Old Boys to Marseille. "The final details will be dealt with in the coming hours," said Marseille on their official website, with local media saying the Ligue 1 club will pay a fee of around 2.5m for a player who has never played outside of Argentina. The 27-year-old has just one cap for his country, he went to the recent Copa America in Chile but did not take to the field.

Rafael completes Lyon move

Manchester United right-back Rafael has joined Lyon on a four-year deal. The 25-year-old put the finishing touches to his transfer after completing a medical and is expected to be officially unveiled later this week. Rafael fell down the pecking order at United with Antonio Valencia and new signing Matteo Darmian filling the defender's position.

Zambia international defender Stoppila Sunzu has joined Lille on loan from China's Shanghai Shenhua. The 26-year-old will join up with manager Herve Renard for the third time having played under the Frenchman for Zambia and French side Sochaux.

Fofana joins Bastia on loan

Manchester City midfielder Seko Fofana has joined Bastia on a season-long loan deal. The Frenchman, who is yet to play for City at senior level, spent the much of last season with Championship side Fulham. Fofana scored one goal in 25 appearances for the London club. The 20-year-old will now spend 2015-16 in his homeland with Ligue 1 side Bastia, who finished 12th last season.

Abou Diaby joins Marseilles

Hoping to revive his injury-hit career, former Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby joined Marseille on a free transfer. The 29-year-old was released by the Gunners this summer. He spent 10 years in north London, scoring 19 goals, but has hardly played over the past two seasons because of injuries. Diaby, who also played with Auxerre before going to the English Premier League, has 16 caps with France.

PSG reach Di Maria deal?

Manchester United ace Angel di Maria failed to make the trip to the Levi's Stadium to face Barcelona in the International Champions Cup. Reports claim that the Red Devils have struck a deal with Ligue 1 champions PSG over El Fideo's switch to France, with L'Equipe writing that all that remains for him to officially be a PSG player is contractual details between him and the club. According to the report, a fee of 63m will be paid for the 27-year-old's services, who will be hoping to join up with Le Parisiens squad, in New Jersey, by Monday once he passes his medical.

Marseille sign Diarra

French international midfielder Lassana Diarra signed for Marseille, ending a year-long spell out of the game. The 30-year-old returns to French football after 10 years away, during which time he featured for the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid. Diarra, who won 28 caps in his career, has been without a club since leaving Lokomotiv Moscow last season. Marseille have also agreed a deal in principle for the loan of Javier Manquillo from Atletico Madrid.

Gajic joins Bordeaux

Bordeaux have signed full-back Milan Gajic from Serbian side OFK Beograd. Gajic, a member of Serbia's recent Under-20 World Cup-winning side, has passed a medical and signed a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 side. Gajic's arrival will help Les Girondins replace Mariano after the Brazilian full-back joined Sevilla.

Stambouli joins PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of midfielder Benjamin Stambouli from Tottenham on a five-year contract. Stambouli, who made 25 appearances for Spurs in all competitions, said: "I am delighted and very proud to become a member of the Paris St Germain family. I wasn't necessarily planning to leave the Premier League after one year, but when a club the size of Paris St Germain calls you, it makes your choice a lot easier." Stambouli becomes the latest midfielder to leave Spurs this summer, following the likes of Paulinho, Lewis Holtby and Etienne Capoue out the exit door.

Stambouli set for PSG move

Benjamin Stambouli is expected to leave Tottenham for Paris Saint-Germain, according to the French club's coach Laurent Blanc. The 24-year-old Frenchman made just 12 league appearances for Tottenham, having moved to White Hart Lane from Montpellier in August 2014. PSG are reported to have agreed a 8m fee for the midfielder.

El Shaarawy completes Monaco move

Italy international Stephan El Shaarawy has completed a move to Monaco, signing a one-year loan from AC Milan with an option to buy at the end of the season. According to reports, the option will become mandatory after the striker plays a certain number of games for his new club, with El Shaarawy agreeing to a five-year deal worth 3m per season.

In 2012-13, El Shaarawy was Serie A's top scorer at the season's midpoint with 14 goals but then struggled the second half of the campaign after Balotelli's arrival. Since then, over the past two seasons he has struggled with injuries and Milan signed strikers Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano to replace him this summer.

Monaco have signed Malian winger Adama Traore on a five-year deal. The 20 year-old joins the principality club as a direct replacement for Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, who joined Atletico Madrid. Monaco, meanwhile, have also announced the signing of 21-year-old Benfica winger Helder Costa on a season-long loan.
