News - transfers

Toulouse 17.8.17
Gradel joins Toulouse on loan

Bournemouth winger Max Gradel has joined Toulouse on loan until the end of the season. The Ivory Coast international could make his debut for Toulouse against Neymar's Paris St-Germain on Sunday. Former Leeds United player Gradel, 29, joined the Cherries from French side St Etienne in 2015 and signed a new four-year contract the following year. He made just 13 appearances last season - and did not start any Premier League games - though he did feature for his country at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nantes 13.8.17
Nantes complete Girotto signing

Nantes have signed Brazilian midfielder Andrei Girotto from Chapecoense. The 25-year-old has joined Nantes on a four-year deal, and his arrival provides coach Claudio Ranieri with an extra option in midfield following the departure of Guillaume Gillet to Olympiacos. Girotto, who attended Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Olympique de Marseille, has also previously played for Palmeiras and spent last year on loan in Japan with Kyoto Sanga.

PSG 11.8.17
PSG closing in on Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain are set to sign Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe, according to reports in Spain. Sport claims PSG have agreed a €180 million deal with their Ligue 1 rivals for the 18-year-old France international. That breaks down as €150m up front and €30m to follow in bonuses and additional payments and would take PSG's total spend to over €400m this summer. Marca agrees, although they report a slight variation of the transfer fee. In France, though, Le Parisien has an altogether different take, with the outlet reporting that Monaco and PSG have both denied an offer has been made or that the transfer is happening at all.

Marseille 10.8.17
Marseille sign Amavi on loan

Aston Villa defender Jordan Amavi has joined Marseille on loan with a view to a permanent deal. The 23-year-old left-back joined Villa from Nice two years ago but found his first team chances limited following a knee injury. The Frenchman had looked set to join Sevilla on a permanent deal last month but the move fell through, reportedly due to a failed medical.

Monaco 8.8.17
Monaco confirm Ghezzal signing

Monaco have completed the signing of forward Rachid Ghezzal, who joins the reigning French champions on a four-year deal. The 25-year-old left Lyon at the end of his contract earlier this summer, and despite being linked with a move to the Premier League, was unveiled as a Monaco player on Monday after completing a medical. The Algeria international made 25 appearances for Lyon last term, scoring two goals and contributing two assists.

Nice 7.8.17
Sneijder joins Nice on free transfer

Wesley Sneijder has joined Nice from Galatasaray on a one-year contract. The 33-year-old was a free agent after ending his contract with the Turkish club by mutual consent earlier this summer. Sneijder had been with Galatasaray for five seasons, where he scored 45 goals in 174 appearances. The former Ajax, Real Madrid and Inter Milan midfielder played in the 2010 World Cup final for the Netherlands and has won league titles in four countries.

PSG 3.8.17
Neymar completes his move to PSG

Neymar has completed his €222m move to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona. The French side have sealed a deal for the Brazilian superstar after meeting his release clause, which was more than double the previous transfer world record. Neymar has now signed a five-year contract at the Parc des Princes, where he will face the media on Friday and be formally presented as a PSG player when the club begin their Ligue 1 campaign at home to Amiens on Saturday.

Monaco 2.8.17
Monaco sign Diakhaby from Rennes

French champions Monaco have signed striker Adama Diakhaby from Rennes for a fee believed to be €8m plus €2m in bonuses. The 21-year-old Frenchman has signed a five-year contract at the Stade Louis II. Diakhaby arrives following the big-money sales of big names Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko, while teenage striker Kylian Mbappe continues to be linked with a summer exit.

Guingamp 1.8.17
Tabanou moves to Guingamp

Former Swansea defender Franck Tabanou has joined Guingamp. The 28-year-old has signed an initial two-year contract with the French side after being released by Swansea at the end of last season. The former France Under-21 full-back joined the Swans for £3.5 million in 2015, but made only three first-team appearances for the club, all in cup competitions, and spent time out on loan at previous employer St Etienne and Granada.

Dijon 25.7.17
Sliti joins Dijon on loan

Tunisia international midfielder Naim Sliti has joined Dijon on a season-long loan from rivals Lille. The 24-year-old initially joined Lille on loan last year before signing a permanent deal until 2020 in May. His future was in doubt last month when he learned he was no longer required by new Lille coach Marcelo Bielsa. Despite interest from several clubs, Sliti opted to join Dijon, who have the option to sign him on a permanent deal when his loan expires next year.

Strasb. 21.7.17
Idriss Saadi joins Strasbourg

Strasbourg have signed striker Idriss Saadi from Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old has joined the French Ligue 1 side on a four-year contract. Cardiff signed Saadi from French second division side Clermont Foot in 2015 but he made only two substitute appearances for the Bluebirds, failing to score. He spent last season on loan at Belgian club Kortrijk, where he scored 16 goals in 35 games.

Nice 19.7.17
Nice sign defender Christophe Jallet

Nice have signed defender Christophe Jallet from Lyon on a free transfer. Lyon released the 33-year-old right-back from the final year of his contract. After coming up with Niort, Jallet maved to Lorient in 2006 before starring for Paris-Saint German for five seasons. He spent the last three seasons with Lyon and has been a member of the Didier Deschamps' France squad, both at Euro 2016 and for a World Cup qualifier in March.

Jallet becomes the fourth signing of the summer for Nice after the additions of Jean-Victor Makengo, Adrien Tameze and Pierre Lees-Melou.
