Marseille sign Lucas Silva from Madrid

Marseille have signed midfielder Lucas Silva from Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal, but without a purchase option for the French football club. Silva moved to the Bernabeu from Cruzeiro in his native Brazil in January but the midfielder was surplus to requirements for new Madrid coach Rafa Benitez for the coming campaign. The 22-year-old made nine appearances under ex-coach Carlo Ancelotti.

PSG confirm Kurzawa signing

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the signing of defender Layvin Kurzawa from Monaco for a fee believed to be in the region of 22m. On Wednesday, PSG boss Laurent Blanc revealed a deal was close for the left-back and he has now put pen to paper on a five-year deal, which ties him to the club until 2022. The 22-year-old shone last season as Monaco reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Monaco seal Coentrao loan deal

Real Madrid have agreed to loan left-back Fabio Coentrao to Monaco for the remainder of the 2015/16 season. Portugal international Coentrao, 27, joined Real from Benfica in 2011 for 30m. He has been hampered by a series of injuries, making only 17 appearances in all competitions last season.

Maignan joins Lille

Paris Saint-Germain and LOSC Lille concluded the transfer of goalkeeper Mike Maignan to the north of France. The young 'keeper signed a five-year deal with Les Dogues. Mike joined Paris Saint-Germain at 14 years of age in 2009, and won the French U17 championship two years later with Adrien Rabiot and Hervin Ongenda. In June 2013, the Cayenne native signed his first professional contract and joined the first team.

Valbuena joins Lyon

France midfielder Mathieu Valbuena has joined Lyon from Dynamo Moscow for 5m on a three-year contract. Valbuena, who has 48 caps, moved to Dynamo Moscow last year following an eight-year spell at Marseille. French media said the 30-year-old had asked to leave the Russian side after they were banned from this season's Europa League for failing to comply with the Financial Fair Play rules. Valbuena is the fourth signing for last season's runners-up after the Brazil full-back Rafael da Silva from Manchester United and the Frenchmen Claudio Beauvue and Jeremy Morel.

Boschilia joins Monaco

Monaco and Sao Paulo have reached agreement for the transfer of Gabriel Boschilia. The 19 year-old Brazilian midfielder, who has made more than forty appearances in the Brazilian league has signed a five-year contract. A finalist in the recent U20 World Cup with Brazil, Boschilia played seven games in the competition and scored twice. The contract will keep him at Monaco until June 2020.

Di Maria completes PSG move

Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria has completed his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, signing a four-year contract for a fee of 63m. Di Maria, 27, has become the French champions' biggest summer buy after sealing his transfer just a year after he joined United as their record signing. PSG revealed in press release that the player will be presented to fans before their Ligue 1 opener against Gazelec Ajaccio on Sunday, Aug. 16.

Waris joins Lorient

Ghana international striker Abdul Majeed Waris has completed a transfer to Lorient. The 23-year-old had been expected to join Rennes in a 3.5m deal from Turkish side Trabzonspor. But at the last hour Lorient trumped their rivals' bid to snap up the Black Star, who has 19 caps for his country. Waris previously played in France for Valenciennes in 2013/14 where he scored an impressive 9 goals in 16 games.

Marseille sign Milton Casco

Argentina defender Milton Casco is set to complete a move from Newell's Old Boys to Marseille. "The final details will be dealt with in the coming hours," said Marseille on their official website, with local media saying the Ligue 1 club will pay a fee of around 2.5m for a player who has never played outside of Argentina. The 27-year-old has just one cap for his country, he went to the recent Copa America in Chile but did not take to the field.

Rafael completes Lyon move

Manchester United right-back Rafael has joined Lyon on a four-year deal. The 25-year-old put the finishing touches to his transfer after completing a medical and is expected to be officially unveiled later this week. Rafael fell down the pecking order at United with Antonio Valencia and new signing Matteo Darmian filling the defender's position.

Zambia international defender Stoppila Sunzu has joined Lille on loan from China's Shanghai Shenhua. The 26-year-old will join up with manager Herve Renard for the third time having played under the Frenchman for Zambia and French side Sochaux.

Fofana joins Bastia on loan

Manchester City midfielder Seko Fofana has joined Bastia on a season-long loan deal. The Frenchman, who is yet to play for City at senior level, spent the much of last season with Championship side Fulham. Fofana scored one goal in 25 appearances for the London club. The 20-year-old will now spend 2015-16 in his homeland with Ligue 1 side Bastia, who finished 12th last season.
