Anderlecht sign Lukas Marecek from Brno

Anderlecht have added to their Czech contingent by signing midfielder Lukas Marecek from Brno for an undisclosed fee. The 19-year-old has agreed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Belgian club. Marecek will join a squad which features three of his fellow countrymen: goalkeeper Daniel Zitka, defender Ondrej Mazuch and midfielder Jan Polak.

Sebastien Pocognoli joins Standard

Belgium defender Sebastien Pocognoli has joined Standard Liege from AZ Alkmaar on a contract running through June 2014. The 22-year-old left-back retutns to Standard for an undisclosed fee, having started his career as a trainee with club. Pocognoli never made an appearance for Standard, however, and joined Genk in 2003. He has four international appearances for Belgium.

Van der Heyden returns to Brugge

Brugge have signed defender Peter van der Heyden from Mainz for an undisclosed fee. The 33-year-old left-back has agreed a one-and-a-half year contract. Van der Heyden, capped 21 times by Belgium, played with Brugge between 2000 and 2005, winning two championships and two Belgian Cups. He left Brugge to join Wolfsburg before moving on to fellow Bundesliga side Mainz in 2008.

Koen Daerden leaves Brugge for Standard

Midfielder Koen Daerden has joined Standard Liege from league rivals Brugge for an undisclosed fee. The 27-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Standard. The nine-cap Belgian international featured in three UEFA Europa League group stage games for Brugge in the first half of the season, but has made just three domestic league appearances since October.

Club Brugge have signed Maxime Lestienne and Daan Van Gijseghem as free agents after Excelsior Mouscron withdrew from the Belgian top flight at the end of 2009. Lestienne, a 17-year-old left-winger, penned a two-and-a-half year contract. Central defender Van Gijseghem, 21, has agreed to a three-and-a-half-year contract.

Genk acquire Samuel Yeboah from Hapoel

Genk have completed the transfer of Ghanaian international striker Samuel Yeboah from Hapoel Tel-Aviv for a fee of around €700,000. The 23-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Belgian side. He scored two goals in the UEFA Europa League group stage as Hapoel advanced to the round of 32. Yeboah previously enjoyed spells at Hapoel Kfar Saba, Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol and Heart of Lions in his native country.

Olivier Dacourt joins Standard

Former French international Olivier Dacourt has joined Standard Liege until the end of the season. The 35-year-old was a free agent after spending the second half of last season on loan to Fulham from Inter Milan. The Belgian champions have moved for the midfielder as cover for Steven Defour, who broke his foot two weeks ago and could be out for several months. Dacourt will not be eligible to play in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Genk sign goalkeeper Laszlo Koteles

Genk have completed the signing of Hungarian goalkeeper Laszlo Koteles from Diosgyori. The 24-year-old has joined on an initial one-year loan with an option to make the move permanent. Genk goalkeeping coach Guy Martens described the new recruit as similar to Logan Bailly, who left for Borussia Monchengladbach in December last year. Koteles will become the third Hungarian at the club after Daniel Tozser and Balazs Toth.

Brugge bring defender Hoefkens back

Belgium defender Carl Hoefkens has returned to his home country on a free transfer to Club Brugge from English second-tier side West Bromwich Albion. The 30-year-old confirmed his arrival on a two-year contract on Friday, having passed a medical. Hoefkens, a Belgian title winner with K. Lierse SK in 1997, rejected a move to Brugge two years ago when opting to try his luck in England.

Standard signs goalkeeper Kristof Van Hout

Standard de Liege have signed goalkeeper Kristof Van Hout from Kortrijk. The 2.08m-tall 22-year-old arrives at the Belgian champions as cover for Sinan Bolat. He signed on a contract until 2012, with an option for a further year. Moving the other way is 18-year-old striker Christian Benteke, joining Kortrijk on loan for the 2009/10 season.

Standard Liege have completed the signing of highly-regarded midfielder Tiago Ronaldo, 20, from Portuguese side Guimaraes. The right-footed player has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Belgian titleholders, with a further 12-month option. Meanwhile, defender Oguchi Onyewu, who is out of contract at Standard, could be on his way to Serie A side Genoa after his impressive Confederations Cup displays for USA.

Standard sign Jonathan Mendes

Standard Liege have signed midfielder Jonathan Mendes on a two-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months. The 19-year-old Frenchman started his career as a trainee at Lyon and played for Auxerre's reserve team last season. After being released by the Ligue 1 club, Mendes impressed in a recent trial at the Belgian champions.
