Salzburg acquire Roman Wallner from LASK

Salzburg have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of the Austrian Bundesliga's leading scorer, LASK Linz forward Roman Wallner. The 27-year-old, capped 27 times by Austria, arrives for an undisclosed fee having scored 14 goals in 17 league appearances this term. Wallner began his career with hometown Sturm Graz in 1998. In the following year he moved to Rapid Wien, where he would have his most successful years, appearing in over 100 matches and scoring 42 goals over five seasons with the club.

LASK sign goalkeeper Macho

LASK Linz have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Jurgen Macho until the end of the season. The 32-year-old was without a club since leaving AEK Athens over the summer. Macho, who has played 18 games for Austria's national team, had stints with Rapid Vienna, Sunderland, Chelsea and Kaiserslautern before moving to Greece in 2007.

Slovenian forward Klemen Lavric has joined Austrian side Sturm Graz from Japanese club Omiya Ardija. The 28-year-old made his name with Dynamo Dresden and Duisburg in Germany, scoring 37 goals in 100 matches in the 1. and 2. Bundesliga. Lavric scored five times in 21 league games after moving to Japan in summer 2008 and has struck six goals for his country in 24 internationals.

Nikola Pokrivac joins Salzburg

Salzburg have completed the signing of Croatian international midfielder Nikola Pokrivac on a three-year contract. The 23-year-old joins the Austrian titleholders from Monaco, with Red Bull reported to have shelled out around €2m. Pokrivac, who only moved to France in January 2008, played 36 games and scored 3 goals for Monaco.

Dusan Svento leaves Prague for Salzburg

Red Bull Salzburg confirmed the signing of Slovakian midfielder Dusan Svento from Slavia Prague. The 24 year-old, considered one of the best foreigners in the Czech league, scored six goals in 82 matches for Slavia since 2005. Svento scored one goal in 15 internationals for Slovakia.
